Contains the following three skin bleaching ingredients:
- HYDROQUINONE: An ingredient for lightening or bleaching of age spots, brown spots and other skin discoloration and pigmentation problems.
- KOJIC ACID DIPALMITATE: Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is an improved form of Kojic Acid that has an excellent property of inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase present in the human skin so as to inhibit the melanin formation. This new, more stabilized form of Kojic Acid can produce excellent results in toning the skin, fighting age spots as well as hyperpigmentation of the face and body. It also has excellent stability to heat and light.
- BEARBERRY EXTRACT: Bearberry Extract is an exciting new functional ingredient, which represents an important advance in the rapidly expanding product category of skin lightening agents. Bearberry Extract represents the result of considerable research and developmental effort. Bearberry Extract is the outgrowth of an innovative and thorough analysis of the biochemical nature of melanogenesis and the biophysical considerations that affect its numerous pathways. To summarize the importance of this new cosmetic skin lightening agent: Bearberry Extract - in contrast to presently available products it not only inhibits the progress of skin darkening, it also effectively reduces the existing pigmentation.
The primary mechanism of action involved is tyrosinase inhibition. However, this effect is further supported by a second level of functionality. One of the main components of the Bearberry Extract is Arbutin. Arbutin once it comes in contact with the skin converts itself into Hydroquinone. Therefore, Bearberry Extract also has the capacity to naturally degrade existing skin melanin with exceptional efficacy. Thus, this novel two-tiered approach results in a more pre-emptive and long term skin tone lightening and color evening that is possible from conventional skin lighteners.
Desired results are achieved with consistent use of this product. Application of PHYSICIANS COMPLEX® sunscreen SPF #15 or higher is mandatory on a daily basis with the use of this product.
INGREDIENTS: Deionized Water, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Glycolic, Lactic, Citric, Malic, Tartaric, and Salicylic Acids (AHA/Beta Hydroxy Acid Complex), Petrolatum, Sunflower Seed Oil, Polaxamer, Cetyl Alcohol, Octyl Palmitate, Synthetic Spermaceti, Hydroquinone USP, Kojic Acid Dipalmitate, Bearberry Extract, Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, Emulsifying Wax NF, Stearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Sulfate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Metabisulfite, Lemon Extract, Dilaurylthiodipropionate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
DIRECTIONS: Apply to clean skin twice daily (AM & PM) and rub in well. Desired results are achieved with consistent use of this product. Application of PHYSICIANS COMPLEX® sunscreen SPF #15 or higher is mandatory on a daily basis.
